🌱 Sowing Steps
Remove debris and weeds, then rake the soil.
Sow evenly using a rotary spreader designed for seeds, crossing directions (north–south, east–west).
Cover with about ¼ inch of quality topsoil or potting soil (avoid low-grade soil).
Water lightly to keep the soil moist without saturating it, using a watering can with a fine spray.
⚠️ WARNING: Do not attach a bag to your lawn mower for 4 weeks after sowing, otherwise you risk vacuuming up the seed.
Germination is optimal when the soil temperature is between 14 and 25 °C. It is recommended to apply a natural organic fertilizer to help the new seedlings establish strong roots.
Wait at least four weeks before applying your first mineral fertilizer, unless you are experiencing drought or extreme heat; in that case, wait until temperatures become milder.
Afterward, it will be important to maintain your lawn with a regular fertilization program to ensure beautiful, strong, and dense grass.

It is important to keep the seed bag away from moisture and water. Keep the bag tightly closed to prevent moisture from entering and to preserve seed quality.

Signé Beauséjour was founded in 1975 as Gazon Beauséjour by Clément Beauséjour, father of Réjean Beauséjour, who now owns and operates the company with his wife in Saint-Liguori, Quebec. Today, the business employs a team of approximately ten people.
Over more than 50 years of field experience have allowed the company to develop unique expertise in producing premium-quality sod rolls perfectly adapted to the Canadian climate.

*CAUTION: Do not attach a bag to your mower for 4 weeks after seeding, otherwise you risk sucking up your seed. Wait at least 4 weeks before applying your first mineral fertilizer IF we are not in a period of drought or heatwave. Afterwards, continue with your regular fertilizer program.

It can take up to 2 years to harvest a single roll of sod. A high-quality 100% Kentucky Bluegrass seed takes longer to germinate than a mix of other grass varieties. It can take up to 4 weeks to start seeing seed sprouts, depending on weather conditions and the quality of the soil used. Patience is essential to achieve professional-quality results.
